The Rev. Nathaniel Darville comes to St. Peter’s from Pike Road, Alabama, where he was rector of Grace Episcopal Church. Along with him, he brings his wife, Rheagan, an environment lawyer, son Lawrence (Wren), son, Julien (Jule), and brown lab mixes, Nico and Ziggy. Fr. Nate was born and raised in Upstate New York, the son of two Assemblies of God ministers. He found his way into the Episcopal Church as a freshman in college, and was confirmed a few years later. In 2006, he moved to New York City to work in hospital administration. It was while he was living in Brooklyn that he met his wife. Shortly before the birth of their first child, Rheagan and Nate moved to the south, eventually settling in Birmingham, Alabama. There they became active in an Episcopal parish, which eventually led Nate to enter the process of discernment in the Diocese of Alabama. He was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Kee Sloan in 2018.

Fr. Nate has a Bachelor’s Degree in the Classics from Asbury College, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Seminary, a Master of Sacred Theology from Union Seminary at Columbia University, and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from the University of the South School of Theology. Fr. Nate is a student of history with a fascination for U.S. politics, a die hard Mets fan, an amateur coffee roaster, and a recreational long distance runner. Nate and Rheagan love traveling with their two dogs and two sons.

Email Dana Leach

Dana Leach began organizing the “Care and Connect” prayer circle in the fall of 2024. The mission is twofold: “To care for the members of our St. Peter’s family. And—to connect St. Peter’s family members, new and old, to one another.” Care & Connect is a ministry in which the entire parish plays a part, by checking on friends we haven’t seen in a while, reaching out to those who are ill or hurting, and welcoming those we notice are new to our parish community.
