Fall Festival Pie Contest
If you’re a baker, we’d love to have you enter the
pie contest!

Each baker should submit two of the same pie–one for judging and the other for the sale at the festival’s general store. All proceeds will go to the church, and unsold pies will go to people who are homebound. Pies should be made at home and brought to the church’s undercroft between 6 and 8 PM on Friday, September 21. Judging will take place between 1:30 and 3 PM the day of the festival. The judges will evaluate each pie’s appearance, aroma, texture, flavor and after taste.

Judges include Caldwell Mayor Ann Dassing, Essex Fells Mayor Ed Davis, Essex Fells School Superintendent Michelle Gadaleta, and former Essex Fells Mayor Ed Abbot.

Please contact Christina Doyle by email or telephone (301-802-7878) if you would like to volunteer, or send an email to Christine DiGiovanni to submit a pie for the competition.
